❄️ WEATHER-RELATED CANCELLATION NOTICE ❄️
With the prediction of significant snowfall this Sunday morning, Mass at the Fatima Chapel and Religious Education Classes at Fatima and St. Mary’s will be cancelled.
Masses at St. Mary’s will be held as scheduled, with all the faithful encouraged to attend the 5:30 pm Saturday Mass. Our church holds 700, so we can accommodate everyone, including parishioners from Fatima.
Altar servers, ushers, lectors, extraordinary ministers of Holy Communion, and organists scheduled for Masses this Sunday are excused from service if we receive the snowfall predicted and traveling is hazardous.
❄️ Winter Safety Reminder ❄️
If it is snowing at the time of Masses on Sunday, our parking lot and sidewalks will not be cleared. Parking on the street may be prohibited, and public parking lots may already be filled if the city has declared a Snow Emergency.
This weekend reminds us that if you are unable to attend Mass during these winter months because of weather, hazardous driving conditions, or mobility issues, the obligation to attend Mass is lifted in those circumstances.
As Bishop Senior recommends, you may stay home and make of your home a domestic church by family prayer or watching a Mass on TV.
